Welcome to School of Swedish Fish! We opened in January of 2012 and this is a small, cozy, safe and nurturing in-home preschool/daycare in central Fairfax, California, located on a 1/4 acre leveled park-like setting. We model and teach kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness, independence and we practice manners. We believe that young children achieve literacy by being in a word rich world. We provide many books, we read to our children, sing songs, puzzles, homemade play dough, paint, make art together and we go on walks in our buggy! The children are taught some basic Swedish and it's fun to see how quickly they learn the language! We are outdoor oriented and we emphasize exposing the children to nature in a calm and nurturing environment. We think that exposure to nature benefits physical and mental health, and we turn to the great outdoors whenever we can - rain or shine.

We accept children 18 months (somewhat flexible, must be walking)
​to 3 1/2 years old.
